The Center for Reading and Writing (CRW) offers one-on-one consulting sessions in writing and reading to students on all academic levels, both virtually and in-person. We can help you in all stages of the writing process, from brainstorming to polishing final papers. If you need reading strategies for difficult texts, we are here to assist with those, too. We also offer a wide variety of workshops from study skills to MLA, APA, and Chicago documentation styles. CRW services are open to all Ramapo students.

End-of-Semester Cancelation and No-Show Policy

The CRW gets extremely busy in the last few weeks of the semester, so we must optimize opportunities for students to utilize appointments. Consequently, if you make an appointment and don’t show up, or you cancel an appointment on the same day, you will receive a warning email saying that if another appointment is missed or canceled the same day, you will be unable to schedule any further appointments this semester.聽 Of course, we understand when emergencies occur, so if that is the case, we invite you to send the consultant you made an appointment with and Susan Auger (sauger@ramapo.edu) a message explaining why you had to miss the session.

Spring 2024 – Welcome Back!

The Center for Reading and Writing will open for the spring semester on January 29th!聽 Appointments for both in-person and remote sessions can be scheduled through Connect. Sessions are 40 minutes long and available during the hours below.

Hours:聽 Mon-Thurs, 10AM-8PM and Fri, by appointment only.

Weekends: Virtual appointments are available (limited). See Connect.

Student Workshops will begin on Jan. 31st with Study Skills to Start the Semester Strong. The spring workshop schedule can be found below. Registration is required.

ELL Support:聽 Professional tutors Peggy Hartog and Evelyn Erli are available for students who need ELL support in writing and reading. Weekly appointments are available on Connect.
