We Care Fresh Food Initiative
The We Care Program provides students with a free bag of produce filled with a mix of fresh fruits and vegetables each week! Students who are interested can fill out the form on . After you join, please select forms and sign up for the week you would like to receive fresh produce.

The pantry is open in ASB 130 and is open to currently enrolled Students, Staff, Faculty, and Administrators

The Satellite Pantry Program
The We Care Program has placed smaller pantries across campus. These pantries have a smaller inventory, but they are stocked with ready-to-eat items and have extended hours to increase availability.
There are nine satellite pantries stationed across campus in the following areas:

- Mon-Thu: 7:45 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
- Friday: 7:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Each pantry is stocked with grab-and-go items like:
- Microwave Soups and Meals
- Granola and/or Breakfast Bars
- Protein Shakes
These items are free for students to take. If you need more items or want a larger selection, please stop by the food pantry in ASB 130.

Food Insecurity Resources
Food insecurity is defined as individuals lacking the availability of sufficient and safe foods. The ability to acquire enough food in a socially acceptable way may also be limited or uncertain. The resources listed below are organizations both for your convenience and ways to help those on campus who suffer from food insecurities.
NJ SNAP, formerly Food Stamps, is New Jersey’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program that can help low-income families and individuals buy the groceries they need to eat healthily.
SNAP Eligibility for College Students
You may be eligible if you are enrolled at least half-time in an institution of higher education and:
- Are eligible to participate in a State or federally-financed work-study program as determined by the institution of higher education; orÂ
- In the current academic year, have an Expected Family Contribution of $0 as determined by the Higher Education ActÂ
In addition to income eligibility factors, students also must fit at least ONE of the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in an approved at a New Jersey community college;
- Be employed at least 20 hours per week AND paid for such work;
- Be participating in a federal work-study program during the school year;
- Be participating in an on-the-job training program;
- Be responsible for the care of a member of your household who is a dependent under the age of six years old;
- Be a single parent enrolled full-time AND responsible for a dependent under the age of 12 years old;
- Be unable to work due to a physical or mental disability; or
- Be receiving Work First New Jersey (WFNJ) Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits (cash assistance).
